K to 6 enjoyed a day of investigative science on Friday, when the CSIRO came to St Gregory's Armenian School. Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed a workshop entitled Science in Action; an interactive show explaining 'why things happen.'
Years 3 and 4 enjoyed constructing simple machines out of Lego in their workshop and at the same time learning about gears, wheels and axles.
The budding engineers of Year 5 & 6 investigated the built environment by building their own bridges using paddle pop sticks and glue guns. The ultimate challenge being, 'which bridge could hold the most books?'
